WoW Alliance Leveling Guide: Levels 1-6
Here are some quick pointers to get you started on leveling an Alliance character as quick as possible. Keep in mind, that there are suggestions and you can certainly differentiate from that when you want. These tips will help you avoid the less worthwhile quests and maximize you time in the early part of the game.
Levels 1 and 2
Go into the forest near the town and hunt (grind) wolves until you reach level 3. I know, I know.....I said grinding wasn't the fastest way to level. It's not, but this will get your character going and help you get a feel for what the character can do. This is helpful if you've never played a particular class before.
Level 3
Sell and repair your gear if you want.
Get quest "A Threat from Within" When you complete it get "Kobold Camp Cleanup".
Get "Eagan Peltskinner" quest and go talk to him. Take the followup "Wolves Across the Border"
Kill wolves until you get 8 Thoug Wolf Meats. Also, take out 10 Kobold Vermin. If you haven't reached level 4 yet, keep killing wolves/kobold until you reach it.
Level 4
Turn in your completed quests. Take "Investigate Echo Ridge". Take out Kobold Workers until the quest is complete and you reach level 5
Level 5
Turn in previous quest. Take "Skirmish at Echo Ridge". Go to the cave and kill everything inside. Continue your killing spree until you reach level 6
Level 6
Turn in quest. Take "Report to Goldshire"
Go outside church and take "Brotherhood of Thieves". Now you get to kill people instead of wolves or Kobold. Yay. Collect 12 Red Burlap Bandanas.
Turn in that quest and take the two followups "Bounty on Garrick Padfoot" and "]Milly Osworth". Visit Milly and take the followup "Milly Harvest". Go back across the river and into the field. See the buckets? That's the harvest. Make sure you kill any thugs that are around before trying to get the harvest. Now head northeast out of the field and look for a small house. That's where Garrick lives. You might have to wait since other players will be there as well. Take out Garrick and turn your quests in. You can take the followup if you want the reward, your call. If you haven't hit level 7 yet, go take out some more thugs until you do.
That's the first six levels. Next up, a trip to Goldshire. Take a breather of an hour or so before heading to Goldshire.
